I worked with a friend on my lit circle. I found working with my friend fun because we shared what we read, and we got to to help each other improve by giving ideas and adding more information to the passages and questions. By working together we learnt to cooperate and listen to each others comments and view points therefore learning to work as a team.
Some of the challenges we faced were understanding some of the sentences in the passage and what they meant. We also found it difficult to pick a good passage, because we had to pick different ones and this was not easy because you may have found one that your partner wished to do as well
I gained loads from my partner as we got to see other parts of the story and understand the novel better. An example would be when my partner talked about the fire, and how it helped Brian in various situations like cooking, sending smoke signals and keeping him warm. I spoke about how surviving in the forest was a learning experience for Brian as when the bear appeared Brian left it alone to eat berries rather than attack the animal that approached him. By working together we began to uderstand each others passages in more detail.

Litreature Circle Reflection
My groups discussion helped me understand the novel better because I get it from different perspectives and I get a chance to here about other passages in the story. Some of us talked about how he was going to survive and I talked about what thoughts were going through Brian's mind.
One of my connections was when I was 10 years old and I entered a simulator that was about flying. When I was in I was already in the air and it said it was a Commercial Plane, I was really scared. When I approached the runway my feet were trembling, and I tried to crash land but overshot the runway.Suddenly I found the nose of the plane in front of the gate. This was a similar experience Brian had of trying to bring down the plane safely without crashing.
My predictions for the rest of the novel is that Brian will make it back alive with his Hatchet, as he has made a very good start to surviving in a plane crash. He may send an SOS signal to let someone know that he is in distress.

Kuala Selangor
One of my favorite experiences on the field trip was the visit to the Fire Flies. It was a spectacular sight to see loads of fireflies flashing their lights in the bushes making the effect of a Christmas tree. We reached the sight, and got into groups of four. Each group got into a boat. Slowly we sailed off into the distance and as we got further away we saw the flashing lights. It was absolutely amazing to see clusters of Fire flies in the bushes flashing their lights rhythmically reminding me of lights on a Christmas tree.
Back at the pier we saw a fire fly on a table. We put our hands around it and saw it glow. Eventually it flew away and Mr Sheflin told us to get back on the bus as it was time to go back to the Hostel.

As we were at the turning back to the pier, I noticed some fireflies had faded away creating some darkness in the bushes. I could here some sounds coming from the bushes. The boat man took us closer to one of the bushes and one of the fire flies came straight at me, I moved back, but it flew past me and settled in a bush.

A time I had to Show Courage
Well, one of my first courageous experiences was when I had to ride my first roller coaster . I was at 6 Flags Chicago and my cousin dared me to go on the America Eagle. When we reached the place I took a deep breath and saw how this monstrous ride dashed up and down, and turned around. It looked absolutely terrifying. We got our places in the queue and started to move along the line.
After a few minutes we reached to the top of the line. When we were just one person away I wanted to turn back and give up, but my cousin kept reminding me and that I had a choice to be brave or be a coward. I chose courage and sat on the rickety kart.
Suddenly the ride started to move ever so slowly. I could feel my stomach churning and my nerves were tingling.Slowly it started to climb the bumpy slope and when we were at the top it suddenly took off at top speed with a loud crash, I could hear my self saying "you made it! " I screamed at the top of my voice hysterically, hoping it would all finish soon.
After it finished I was shocked, I had just gone on my first roller coaster, my cousin patted me on the back saying
" Wow Ramon I'm proud of you, you achieved your goal ".Back at the car I sat and thought to myself, wow that was a real adventure!

How did early Humans use their art to express there culture?
Early humans paintings were very fascinating. They used their imagination or their dreams to make some of their paintings and in others they painted their hunting experiences or major events in their lives. They also painted their hands on the wall to pass on to people to show that early humans lived there. Early Humans may have painted animals that they may have killed or embraced during hunting or if they were pets to them. Sometimes early humans may have left spears that they decorated as a remembrance that great warriors used spears to keep off there enemies from attacking them.
Early humans may have left pictures of them to note that they lived in these caves for a period of time. Some early humans may have drawn pictures of their great discoveries that they did during their evolutions. They painted on the walls of the caves where they lived to express to others what knowledge they may have gathered, and it is through these early paintings that we have information of what early human life may been like. We also know from these paintings that much of the artifacts and tools we use today may have had its origins in what these early humans found.

Im an Archaeologist
1. I would choose an archaeologist because I think it is fascinating to know about ancient artefact's and the history of civilisations which trace the roots of what we are and use today.
2. Archaeologists have been able to trace the time in history that many discoveries and events took place by examining pieces they have unearthed from the ground.
3. I like archeology because I like researching on historical artefact's and where they came form.
